Brave Spaces Yoga is about creating the space for you to be your best, most authentic self.

We believe that each time you step onto the mat there is an opportunity to come into your body, test assumptions, and discover new possibilities within yourself.

The act of reflection is not easy. It takes courage and persistence. At Brave Spaces Yoga, we seek to create an environment that promotes community, self-awareness, and personal growth. We offer high-quality yoga instruction and kindness, to support you wherever you are on your personal journey.

Weekly Practice

Each week Lauren teaches 60 minute Power Yoga classes at the Canton, Baltimore location of Inline Fitness as well as an occasional Gentle Yoga class at Church on the Square.   Power Yoga combines Vinyasa flow with static holds and dynamic movement in a fluid, creative sequence. More than a great way to get your heart rate up and tone the body, power yoga pushes students to overcome mental blocks and cultivate self-awareness. Lauren’s Power Yoga class offers a body-positive learning environment where students not only practice yoga, but also push their physical, and sometimes emotional, boundaries. 

Foxy Flow Sensual Yoga

February 2019

Foxy Flow is a 90 minute, sensual yoga class designed to create a supportive and loving atmosphere for women to come into their own confident way of movement. By combining familiar yoga postures with slow, sultry movements, women sweat, laugh, have fun, and most importantly — tap into what makes them feel most beautiful.

Return to Your Best Self

Brave Spaces Yoga provides in depth Yoga retreats where you can super charge your practice and rediscover your center. Escape to a peaceful setting for time filled with yoga, guided discussion, and reflection designed to help you unwind, connect and feel refreshed. A retreat can be the perfect way to jump start your practice as a beginner or explore challenging new techniques for those farther along the path. Our retreats are always taught by Yoga Alliance certified instructors and typically include the following:

  • Private, rejuvenating accommodations

  • Optional group outings

  • Unstructured time

  • Daily yoga instruction

  • Daily guided discussions with other retreat participants

  • 3 nutritious vegan/vegetarian meals a day

ABOUT LAUREN

Lauren Fox has been practicing yoga for 7 years, studying at studios in Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC and Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2018 she received her Yoga Alliance 200-hour certification from the Red Lila School of Yoga.

In addition to yoga, Lauren has been passionate about dance since the age of four. From 2015-2017 she worked as a pole dance and fitness instructor at an aerial dance studio in Baltimore. Dance and choreography continue to influence and inspire her yoga flow.
